So I have looked at the new Hush A Bye fabric at Fat Quarter Shop, but have yet to buy any. After seeing this fun, fantastic quilt at the Moda Bake Shop I am going to purchase the fabric and make this quilt for myself. Thanks for sharing with us!!!!

Excellent use of a charming jelly cake Rachel! Tell me, what do you mean when you say "rinse and repeat"?
Repeat I get, rinse I don't!

BTW can you tell me where to get the cute heart thingie?

Curious minds also want to know if you listen to DMB while cranking out these projects ;^)

This is so cute! I will have to make one of these!

I love this one Rachel! I can't wait to get started on one! I have other projects in line though so it MUST wait. I'm figuring if I have a good selection of any one line on hand so that I could do this. Mmmmmmmmmm

I love this quilt! The colors and the scruff make it so shabby chic- I just got some Hushabye and can't wait to get started on a quilt. Thanks for the tutorial!

I just saw the tutorial. Love it! and the quilt! The colors look so great together. I may just have to do one of these too. You really need to stop doing tutorials! I have to much to do now. :)

cute quilt...looks just like one that crazymom did a tutorial for back in October...hope you aren't plagiarizing another quilter's work...the only difference is you using moda pre-cuts vs. crazymom using FQ's and 1/2 yd cuts....

Jewel said...

I love this... have done it with hearts and circles before but I love the fact that you can use precuts and it is so fast... like lightening... it is great to see someone else's way of looking at something.

i saw this this morning, was not able to comment, just beautiful!! i have had a day from hell, but it's the first day of the rest of our new life forward, very pretty, seriously!! I really need to chill out and work on trying to get some creative mojo!!

thanks for your comment, though i wish you would have been a little more grown up about it by not being anonymous and emailing me instead of accusing me of plagiarizing amanda's tutorial here for all my blog readers to see.
that's actually pretty childish.

feel free to contact amanda jean at crazy mom quilts to verify that her & i discussed me redoing her tutorial, and she was completely fine with it.

and i do want to point out that moda bake shop's purpose is to show people how to make patterns with precuts, so i was just doing my job.

thanks.

p.s. and while you are there...
please take notice that our measurements are different, along with all the verbage.

thanks.

I asked this over at the Moda Bake Shop, but I wasn't sure if you'd see it or not...where can I buy these fabrics? I love the Bake Shop, but can never figure out where to buy them. And now that I've seen this AMAZING quilt, I MUST KNOW! ;)

Rachel-
I was so excited to see this tutorial, it totally solves my Christmas gift dilemma for my sister in law! As soon as I saw this I ordered the fabric for it, I'm going to make it out of Arcadia fabric, not my personal style but totally my sister in law's and I think it will look great in this pattern. I think I'll make one for myself with it too out of another fabric line.
Thanks!

Elisabeth

ok so...I just came across your blog...and I want to attempt this quilting thing. but I don't know if what I am thinking will work? Can you please shed some light if you think it won't? I bought a jelly roll from the fat quarter shop - (after buying a fat quarter there of the same fabric to make my daughter a skirt and falling in love with the patterns) And we are about ready to move our little girl into her toddler bed, so I wanted to make her a quilt - I read online that a good length for a toddler quilt is 44" (not sure what width though) So I found that the jelly rolls have 44" pieces (and they are already cut!) so I was going to do a vertical stripe pattern, just line up the pieces and sew along the long sides...and viola - I will have the front of her quilt...am I right? It sounds too easy! Any advice would be amazing!! Thanks in advance!
